As expected, it was good times. There were new people for me to meet. There were people from a while back that I was happy to see again. There was fire (the good, controlled kind).
There was also fondu.

It was delicious.
That night I was reminded of a few things. All of them good. The only sad thing was having to leave in time to catch the train home.
For a little while there, it was reminding me of a good night in college. There were definitely some conversations I would have liked to dedicate more time to.
I got home at about the same time I normally would, but was up early enough to hear some of that gloriously rumbling, window-rattling thunder that rolled through in the morning.
Sadly, from where I'm located, there's little chance of ever seeing any good lightning. The next apartment upgrade will see me in an upper floor of a taller tower, just for those storm views.
Sunday was spent puttering around the apartment, listening to the rain fall. I find it relaxing and refreshing. While others may have felt a bit down today, I was actually quite content with a good many things.
Of course, I also got next to nothing of any importance done. But that's OK. This time around, at least.
