DC Bloggers 2009
For the last few months, I've been involved with the DC Bloggers Meetup group. It's been pretty awesome.
There's no shortage of interesting, intelligent, and well spoken/written people in this area. The Internet has allowed a number of us to get our ideas out there in ways that wouldn't have been possible 20 years ago (and not quite as easy a decade ago).
This past Wednesday, we had our last meeting of 2009. The small cadre of word-wizards that showed up decided it would be neat to get a quick snapshot of the group. (Note that those who show up are only a very small percentage of the entire group--every month the mix is a little different).

Me? I'm behind the camera... because I was apparently the only one experienced enough in herding cats to get a bunch of writers lined up properly in the restaurant. Comes from all those years of wrangling community groups and politicians into line while working as a photojournalist, I guess. :)
DC Bloggers will be back in January--kicking off with my Blogging 101 presentation on 9 January. Hope to see some of you out there.
